Of Such Stuff Were Our Great Grandmothers Made

Fight Like A Girl
A dynamic project exploring the history of the women's suffrage movement. 40 Y9 students at Parliament Hill School in Camden will engage with, learn about and better understand the history through a variety of exciting, creative, activities.

Participants will explore the Women’s Library Archive; visit the Museum of London Suffragette Collection; take part in a suffrage tour and live debate at the Houses of Parliament; attend masterclasses from specialist historians including Dr Mari Takayanagi, Dr Diana Atkinson, Dr Kate Connelly and  Kate Jackson; and take part in hands-on theatrical, design, and exhibition curation workshops.

The project will culminate in two free site-specific performances celebrating the history of the Women’s Movement and present-day women’s activism through visual arts and physical theatre.
