Søren Nielsen, production director,
trained in physical theatre, clowning and circus in his
native
Denmark,
where
he toured with
various circus companies before descending on England.
He has been directing and performing since 1985. He
has special skills in stilt dancing, balance acrobatics,
static trapeze, abseiling and fire breathing.
Søren clearly has Viking blood in his veins,
and having been deprived of his horns, has substituted
them with stilts, becoming a master stilt artist. He
also has a passion for geometric forms, ropes and a head
for height. These days he is easily spottable managing
the ropes from where Scarabeus’ artists dangle.
